Making his rounds about the kingdoms Bradley ended up in Golden Horn. It was his last stop of the day before he returned home to Maidstone and the country he loved. Upon stepping foot on the lands a new set of nightmares flooded his mind, not those of the dream he had last night but dreams, if that is what they would be considered to be, that took place during the day as he was wide awake.
The scene that came to him was one that brought pain to his head, him dropping upon a knee in the middle of the town, a gauntleted hand pressed against his forehead and his face tilted to the ground eyes closed. Was this Ithuriel warning him? If it was he would have been happier if the Archangel found a new and less vivid way to pass warnings and such to him.
The play that was cast in his mind was one that he never thought he would see. It was after the battle, and those that lived came back to Golden Horn, but it was a bit late. As they came into port armies of demons and devils were in battle with the few that were left behind to defend the castle.
The knights were in battle and in his mind Gekko was laying upon the ground in the throne room, only to have a demon lord lift his head from the fallen first knight to the majesty of the kingdom, Queen Rayna Goldenbloom.
Bradley stood before her, that sword, Legacy, held in both hands before him. The demon stared at him eyes burning with the fires of hell flaring in them as a chaotic and sadistic laugh echoed throughout the halls. “You believe you can stop me, paladin? One maybe of God, but still not yet a match against the levels of Hell…” The demon lord snarled pointed teeth glaring at him, his wings spreading from behind his back. “Move and allow me to have my victim or I will go through you, Holy Knight.”
Bradley standing his ground brought his left arm back him gesturing for Rayna to stay behind him. Once he was sure she was the knight took his footing again. Damn Lupe and Sinclair and there deals with demons! He warned them! A growl rumbled in his throat, him sliding a foot back ready to give his life to save Golden Horn’s queen.
The demon did attack though, his form coming like a speed of light, him slamming into the Paladin, thrusting a jagged sword through the armor of the knight…
And that was when he returned to the reality of things, him panting and glancing about him a moment noticing town folk that had gathered about him wondering if all was well. A hand was pressed against his shoulder, but it was ignored and brushed up as he stumbled to his feet, his armored form taking into a run for the castle.
“Please be there Lupe, QueenRayna… I need to speak to you both!” He called out, his words lost in the wind as he pushed through guards that attempted to stop him. He needed to speak to those two, they were going to make a bad mistake! A very bad one!
