The halls are ready, the dorms furnished and awaiting students. The classrooms are freshly painted and equipped. One tower is warded, so that the young mages' mistakes will not create havok. There is a salle for weapons and combat training, an archery range, a riding arena inside and out, all is in readiness for classes to begin.
Ellian has gathered the best instructors he can find, only the best for his students. He has aquired the finest equipment and even was donated some of the horses from the royal stable for the equestrian classes. Instruments were purchased, but some will be made by the students themselves.
Ellian stood in the headmaster's office, going over the last of the paperwork. Once the last one was signed, he took one more stroll thru the school. He nodded as he was satisfied with what he saw. All was ready. Now it was time to greet the students. He prayed to the Star-Eyed this would be a success this time.

Having heard that Valdrake was to open once more he knew Ellian's hand would be heavy weighted, he could only imagine how much stress his uncle was going through.
With a hand that he could offer he would help in this effort. The school had to be reopened for the sake of the children. He had his own talents he could assist with ranging from rune magic, instrument playing or even court etiquette.
Treo would request a page be sent to Ellian as soon as possible to deliver a message. Swiftly was his writing hand as he pulled his quill and ink.
Dear Ellian,
Word has traveled that you have begun to reopen Valdrake, I am glad to hear of this. I am writing this letter to you in hopes you take my offer in teaching in one of your classes. I offer my talents for you to use from music, magic, and even court etiquette. I believe that getting to know the students of others lands besides just Horn may also allow me to understand their homelands abit more as each student would have been trained or taught already. Above all else I would like to help you and take any stress away.
Sincerely Treo Goldenbloom

“Alazne!”
There was no mistaking the excitedness in Kendra’s voice as she hooked a right and all but ran into the Weyr and right into her dragon. “Is it true? Is it true!? Is Valdrake really up and running once more?” she asked, merriment sparkling within dark green eyes. For one that had all but dismissed the school when she first attended, Kendra was very happy to have it opened once more. The red snaked his head around and snapped his jaw at the girl, eyeing her lazily as if the topic could hardly warrnat his attention.
~I have heard such, but I thought you were past such schooling?~
And the little firestarter grumped, nose crinkling at the words within her head. Was that really what she had sad all of those months ago when she wasn’t happy? It was a possibly, but so much time has passed that she wasn’t sure what was true and what was false anymore. Shaking her head, Kendra just grinned and threw her arms around Alazne’s neck, hugging him. “I am going to go sign up! Since, you know, mom is never around to do such for me anymore.”
Digging her foot into the ground, she’d just shrug and dart off once more with the sound of her dragon’s warning echoing within her head. Making her way into the castle, she’d clean herself up and change into something more appropriate. Unruly curls were pulled back and brushed smooth, a dress taken up *only* for this special circumstance -- hell would freeze over before they found her in one on a daily basis.
After giving herself a once over in the mirror, she’d snatch the bracelet David got her for Yule and snapped it into place as she ran for the mirror portals. Breath was held as she crossed the barrier and entered Valdrake. The only thing that gave away her entrance was the loud thump of heels meeting the floor of the castle. “I’m here!” she said happily, the door being thrown open as she made her way into the area where the students were to be greeted by the Headmaster.

Ellian got Treo's message and smiled. Good he was hoping Treo would offer. He penned a reply while the messenger waited.
Dear Treo I would greatly appreciate your help in the school. I have no one to teach music yet, perhaps we can start there, and perhaps increase your cirriculum. I need all the help I can get here. Come when you are available. Classes start next Monday. Sincerely Ellian.
He then spotted a very excited Kendra arriving from the mirror portal room. He smiled, but quickly changed his expression. He gave her a 'look' "Are you ready to settle in and study, young lady?" He then broke and gave her a quick hug. "Welcome back, Kendra."

“Hello Herald Ellian.”
With a smile, she looped her arms around Ellian’s waist and hugged him, a nod given to the question he posed. “Of course!” she chipped in happily, the emotion she was trying to convey flickering within her eyes. “And thank you; it is good to return to a place that I can consider home, even if only for a short while.” Taking a step back, she adjusted the sash that cinched around her waist and folded her hands behind her back, body rocking on the balls of her heels. “It looks wonderful here Sir Ellian.”
Teeth sunk into her lower lip as she thought about something, and just like that, the subject was turned. “How is Queen Aine? Is Ridia okay? Have you seen my mother? What about my sisters?” The only other person she knew who could possibly answer the questions was David, but he knew about just as much as she.

It never took messeges to to pass to long Treo walked through the mirrored portals with three hard leathered books in hand and personal lute straped across his body. One being his sacred Divination spell book. "It is good to see you Ellian, Kendra," he gave a nod to them both.
He was prepared to teach, as he was asked, and as he had offered. "I hope you both are doign well?"
He noticed that kendra was quite excited and if he could put his bet on it Ellian was too. Nothign felt better then knowing you wer preparign people for the real world.

-A letter arrived on Ellian's desk, delivered through mirror portal by a Snow Owl from the only known region of the Rim Kingdoms that is unclaimed by any ruler, and not part of any kingdom. The owl perched on the back of the desk's chair, the creature looking quite intelligent. The letter was sealed in a red envelope, the parchment was still cold from the travel. Upon opening it, the letter read:-
+Dear Nephew,
I am gladdened to hear that the Collegium has once again returned. Just in time for the New Year as well. This news made a wonderful late Yule Gift for my ears. In a previous time the Collegium underwent several misadventures of some troublesome students, as well as some scholarly, magical, and spiritual adventures by others. The school never had a dull moment. It is also here that my niece was finally announced full of a life she was getting ready to bring into the world. Two lives, in fact.
This school holds several memories for me. If you would like assistance in any class, please feel free to ask. My time and my hobbies are all that preoccupy my life now in my retirement. I wish you, the school, and your students well in this new year come.
Sincerely,
Your uncle: Arborlon M. E. Estcarp

Ellian smiled at Kendra and her barrage of questions. He sighed softly at them though. "Aine was almost killed recently. Ridia is, again, in trouble... though for some reason Aine seems to think she can do this alone. I presume Krysta is there with her, as I have not seen either in some time. Your sisters were in Horn only yesterday. I expect them both here at the school."
He smiled to see Treo arrive as well. "Good eve, Treo. I would like to start you with music if you dont mind. We could be having you branch out to other subjects as well."
Upon seeing the Snowy Owl arrive, he examined the letter and gave a broad smile. Yes he would be delighted to have Arborlon come back to help. He knew he could teach healing, wasnt sure what else, but they would discuss that upon his arrival. He penned a quick reply to the note. "Dear Uncle Arborlon, I would be most pleased to have you come teach at the school. I know healing is one of your specialties, come and we will discuss what else there is."
Light laughter as he found Kalien at his feet and shook his head. "Welcome Aurora. Help yourself and get set up. You always know where to find me. If you need anything let me know. I may add a section for younger children.... but they wont be studying with the older ones. Have to find someone to help with them, however.. someone that can handle that age group and keep them in line as well as make sure some things stick i those heads.... Wonder if Arb would be interested in that?"
He made some notes as ideas came to him.. the time was getting close and he was, indeed, excited. "Kendra, what do you plan to specialize in? That way I can start making up your schedule..."

And then there was Treo. Turning, she smiled and waved to him, giving the Prince a little curtsey as he approached. "Hello, Treo. How have you been?" It had been a while since she had seen him, and for the most part, she still had his jacket. When Aurora made her approach, she couldn’t help but to smile. It was like looking at a future version of her sister, Mercedes, in her Herald Whites except with black hair. Grinning, she’d nod to the Herald and took a step back so that the four of them had some room. “Hello, Herald Aurora. How have you been?”
As Ellian answered her questions, she just stared at him with the deer-in-headlights look. Eyes went wide at the mention of Queen Aine almost getting killed, brows furrowing at the mention of trouble in Ridia and the light in her eyes flickered at the mention of her mother. “I hope whatever it is that troubles will soon be at an end. If Queen Aine needs my help, please let her know. I offered to be apart of her guard at the wedding, and my offer still stands."
Eyes rolled up as she thought for a moment, a small shrug of her shoulders given. “I need to work on controlling my firestarting skills. Mom says we are ruled by our emotions, and those who claim the same gift are few and far between. Oh! And I would love to continue learning how to heal. The Lady Shuku says I have the skill and would love for me to apprentice in the healing arts."

A parchment scroll arrives at the school.
Herald Ellian,
I have heard the news that your school is about to reopen its doors. These are glad tidings indeed, if true. It is my hope that I may send some of the brightest pupils from my lands to your school for further training. I am assuming of course that basic reading, writing, and sums are not included in your curriculum, and that such training should be received before proceeding to your school. My wife, the Baroness Star, has already made known her intention to begin such schooling here in our lands and I can only conceive that this is a good thing. Once again, I do congratulate you and wish you all the best. My own training is in weapons and warfare. Should my services be required, please do not hesitate to call. It will be answered. Please let me know how students you can accept from us.
James MacGregor Baron of Bengal Kingdom of the Golden Horn

He looked at Kendra and nodded. "Very well, I will have you signed up for healing. One day a week you will be going to Kavanagh for the dragonriding end of things. I will help with your gift training for now. I will surely let Aine know you are willing to help her, when I see her again."
He looked to the page who brought the message and opened it. He read the greetings from Baron James and nodded. He penned a quick reply to the Baron.
Baron MacGregor, I would be glad to have any students you think are deserving of the extended education. We may be adding a section for basic skills soon, with readingm sumsm and writing, but it may be a bit. Right now, ages 13 and up are the main ones. Those who wish to specialize in guard work, knighthood, any new Heralds will be here, and healers, mages and bards. We are trying to be a well rounded school.
Let me know when and how many you plan to send to the school and we will make preparations. There will be room and board provided for all students. Most supplies will also be provided. If you have any questions, please contact me. Sincerely Ellian Liam, Headmaster of Valdrake Collegium

Orrick had been waiting for this day for what felt like an eternity for him. He had stayed up the night before studying. Mind you he had no idea what he might be learning so he just read whatever books he had accesses to. he began to wonder what school would be like and if it was anything like the horror stories Emmanuel had told him about the wizarding college.
Orrick Had no idea what he would need at this school, seeing as this would be the first time he went. he took a rucksack and put in the three books he owned, half a loaf of bread, and a change of clothes. He looked around his room once more and wondered if he should bring the suit of armor he had gotten for Yule. he could think of hundred uses for a suit of armor, and most of them revolved around day dreams of him saving the kingdom, but that would be troublesome since he had no sword, but these thoughts never stopped him.
After a good amount of trouble with getting all the armor together and tied to the rucksack Orrick began to walk to the school hoping he had not forgotten anything.
But Alas like most students on the first day he had, he'd forgotten to bring something to write with.

-The Ancient knocked upon his nephew's door lightly. He was dressed in simple white kung-fu style slacks for easy movement, a white cotton v-neck shirt that was laced up at the neck to be more presentable however had long sleeves for warmth, and white cotton boots with hard soles. Around the top of the boots was white fur. Of course he wouldn't kill an animal for his own warmth. Two pairs of beedy black eyes gazed out from two Snow Squirrels whose teeth were the equal of a Garm Fang, also made of ice that never melts, not naturally at least. They snuggled close to his legs, keeping him warm and hiding from everyone else. His skin was as pale as the moon, almost transluscent. His floor-length raven black tendrils were tied back into a topknot in the samurai fashion. Formerly in his robes he had looked very slim if not as slender as a dainty woman. Now, in clothes that left his form more visible, it was impossible to miss that he had at some point in his life been a warrior. His hands, strong enough to weild any weapon, yet gentle enough to heal even the most sensitive of injuries, were clasped behind his back.-
-Upon his admittance into Ellian's office, he smiled warmly, however as he was only now a Citizen of Golden Horn, no longer retaining any official status, he did a waist-bow in greeting. His voice, though quiet, could be heard crisp and clear. It was musical, however the notes could not be placed. It was more beautiful than the voice of the Elves...the enchanting voice of a once-noble Fae.-
"Headmaster, a pleasure to see you again. It's been a while."-it had been six whole months for the Ancient since last he'd seen Ellian.-

When the page arrived, Kendra started to feel very claustrophobic and decided it was her time to take her leave. Smiling to Ellian, she would nod her thanks and take a step back to give herself some room to breath. "Thank you, Sir Ellian. I look forward to visiting Kavanagh so that I may finish off the rest of my training. As far as my gift, I hope to have it tamed enough to use one day." Flashing a smile to the others gathered, the mischievous one out of the Aier-Liremont sister took her leave of the group.
Heading back in the direction of the way she came, it was obvious Kendra wasn't paying too much attention to where she was going. As soon as she glanced over her shoulder to cast a lingering gaze upon those still gathered, she ran right smack into Orrick. "Yeeeeeeeouch!" she screehed, body bouncing back to land on her rear. One hand flew up to press into the back of her head while the other started to rub at her hip. "OhmygoshIamsosorryareyouokay!?" she asked the moment she realized that she had ran into someone.
Climbing to her feet, she’d brush the dirt off her skirts and extend her hand to the person. "I'm Kendra Aier-Liremont, a student here at Valdrake. And you?" she asked, curiosity filling her green eyes.
