::she was noticing that the animals were acting oddly, as if they were readying for some bad weather or some other event. The chickens were staying in their nests, the cows were lowing in the fields, and her mare would do a two-step dance every once in a while, as if the ground were boiling hot.
Ava dismounted by the Kencha Falls, and felt the ground shift beneath her. Barely discernable to the nekked eye,but she felt it indeed. and looked around quickly to see if any rocks were sliding down to block the pathway home. Thinking of Gekko being buried by that rock slide, she gathered her thoughts, and remounted her mare, heading back to the Keep to speak to Aegis about all she felt and was observing.
Another lil temblor nearly unseated her as her mare tripped over her own feet. Re-seating herself, she urged her on to get to the Keep and see what, if any, damage or sign of danger was occurring in the higher elevations::

The earthquake would hit the Peaceful mountain home of Silk and Shuku and rouse its occupants from their slumber. Binky, Silk and Shuku's resident ogre, Hemlite paladin baby-sitter, had been slumbering in children's room. When the shaking cased he moved quickly to rouse his brother and sister in-law. Silk had been gleefully sleeping off the Belltaine's celebration with his beloved when the quake hit. Flung from happy snuggling with his beloved in the Silk sheets, Silk was saved from impact with the floor by the chain harness attached to the ceiling from the night before that he had forgotten to undo when he passed out from exhaustion due to the pair's revelries. Swung wide he nearly impacted the far wall when the shackle to the bed post pulled taunt and redirected the still sleeping elf and caused him to spiral to the side. The swing was finally ended upon impact with the latex golem, which still stood in the middle of the room awaiting orders from Silk or Shuku. Bouncing off the thing Silk opened his eyes blearily as the back of his head impacted the foot board of the bed. Hung over from the consumption of more things than one would care to list, Silk peered around the room as he hung upside down and wondered if the world really was shaking, or if it was just him. About that time the babes began to cry and Silk realized that: Yes, the world really was shaking. As the world shook, the elf slept. She had not noticed, hadn't even noticed silk being moved from his spot. The pillow was taken and put over her head. Trying to ignore silk and Binky and the golemn in the middle of the room. Goodness, it was horrid, that was until the babes started to cry. Sitting up quickly the world spun, then her head hit the pillow. Then rose again her babies, they were crying in a way that wasn't natural. Slipping from her bed, she went as fast as possible to the children's room. Hobbling along the way not having realized she still had one stilleto black boot on. Golden tresses fell down covering her naked body reaching all the way down to her ankles. Binky moved aside as Shuku came race-hobbling out of the room and headed into the babies' room. Looking into the bedroom at Silk dangling upside down from the ceilings still waking up, Binky wondered how well his brother could have slept with that gag-ball in. The room was filled with too many large, protruding objects for the paladin. Binky decided to shut the door rather than ask questions and wait for Silk to wake up. Silk extracted himself from all the various 'accessories' save for the chain linking him to the bed post still. Realizing that removing the bed post would be easier than extracting himself from the enchanted anklet, some thing he questioned Shuku's wisdom in using during the games the previous night; Silk merely pried he post from the bed. Summoning on his magic pants he headed down the hall to check for damages, dragging the bedpost behind him. "Shuku love, how are the children?" This was one of those mornings that, staying in bed was the only thing that would be good. Examining her baby boy she picked Stellan up and rocked him. There was nothing wrong with him, no physical wounds, no magical attacks, why was he screaming as though he was frightened? “t-their fine...” She whispered finding it difficult to communicate. As everything came into focus, or as clear as they were going to be, Shuku looked over at Silk. “it's quiet....” Silk knitted his brows wondering what Shuku meant by it being Quiet when their children had been just screaming in her ears. “Quiet? Stay here love... Binky and I are going to check things out.” He kissed his beloved Shuku and his children before clunking off down the hall and into the central garden. It was then he felt the voice from the massive tree that acted as the central point to their house. ~the spirits are silent... I am blocked from that world... it strains me.~ Silk stared up the trunk of the Bloodwood. There were small marks on it from when the house's three independent stories had bucked against it during the quake. He smiled to himself. The entire house had been fitted and pieced together with perfectly notched wood pieces. Three stories tall each floor built independent of the one below allowing them to shift and absorb shock... he really was a genius. Patting the tree he moved again into the house and out the other side to stand on the front porch by Binky who was surveying their amazing view of the mountains and the valley with a spyglass. “I doubt that was geomancers. Many of the passes are blocked and there were no follow-up quakes.” The earth shook again as a boom was heard deep in the earth. Binky frowned and turned to Silk. “Perhaps I was wrong.” Silk shook his head. “No, that was an explosion from one on the blasting charges I put in the caves below this mountain in case of emergency.” He took the spyglass and looked about. “I do wonder though... Shuku and the tree both say the spirit world is blocked.” He handed the Glass back. “Keep an eye out, Telia and the twins are elsewhere celebrating Beltaines. They may not be able to return if there is and impending attack. I will need to re-move those charges.” Picking up that bed-post he was chained to and using it like a staff he headed back inside to his family. “It's quiet...” Shuku repeated several times as she calmed her son down and then picked up her littlest daughter. Cavah screamed even louder than Stellan. Because she understood there was something wrong, her brother, was just an idiot. The last child, Three year old Estrella, had no idea what was going on. Unlike the others she couldn't sense the earth as easily. Her psionic abilities and magics had been blocked by Shuku at a much younger age. The three year old just stared at her baby half siblings. Then pouted. Not sure if she should cry to or not. Picking up El in one arm and kissing Shuku, Silk strode into the room. “It was just an earthquake. We are all safe here.” The last boom caused the elven woman to scream in fright and hold her infant daughter close to her chest. It wasn't until silk came back in and reassured her that everything was ok did she calm down. “a..an earth quake?” Her heavily accented voice whispered.

the air crackled, as if something or someone was not waiting for a door but making their own. as he forced open the fabric between dimensions, the tear forming in the center of the courtyard of Kencha keep. The howl that came from the tear was deafening. the forming of the tear sending ripples across the arcane weaves, like throwing a large rock into a still body of water. the ripples disturbing everything in their path, the skies behind him were black and red. Dark bolts of lighting streaked the skies every now and then. he stepped from the tear he hadst created. the look upon his face was nae a pleasant one. His rage radiated from him like a visible force, those normally ivory orb were now almost as black as pitch. the growl that rolled in his chest and throat held such fury, such power. he hadst been pulled away from his home and family whenst they didst need him the most. he hadst been forced ta watch the Quakes as they struck Kencha. Now he was home, He wouldst have ta scout the damage ta Kancha and ta the surrounding areas. he wouldst even have ta check the temples. Aye he hadst been against their construction in the first place but those that manned the temples wouldst still be under the protection of the rangers. He didst nae like the idea of going around them let alone going inta them ifin needs be. But he wouldst put his hate for the Gods aside for the safety of these people. Turning he closed the tear between the dimensions and made his way from Kancha's courtyard towards the gates. Not even the guards wouldst try ta stop him, though they wouldst be wondering where he hadst been the last four days. He wouldst nae let anything stand in his way. he made his way inta the Kencha mountains, he hadst ta see the extent of the damage for himself. He wouldst first make his way towards the closest Temple and check on the conditions there
